New Baltimore Parks & Recreation is singing up kids for the Summer Playground program which includes hands-on fun, physical activity, field trips (to Red Oaks Water Park and the city fire department), and more.

Hours and fees:

Playground time begins June 13-17 and ends Aug. 12. Hours are 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. No playground week will be held the week of June 20, July 4 and 8.

Children who are ages 6-11 as of June 13, 2011, will be accepted. Be sure to bring a birth certificate when you register your child.

Playground cost is $184 for residents, and $190 for non-residents. Includes playground T-shirt. Field trips will cost extra.

Registration continues until June 10 or until all spots are filled. A mandatory parent meeting will be held on June 10 at 6 p.m.
