Annual New Baltimore Memorial Day Parade Marches into Town Monday

What better way to spend this Memorial Day, than attending New Baltimore's annual Memorial Day Parade?
The festivities kick off on Front Street at 10 a.m. as the parade marches up Washington Street to Green Street, ending at City Hall.
A ceremony will be held on the lawn of City Hall where the located commanders of the VFW & Am Vets Post place wreaths on the memorial there. The Anchor Bay High School band and the honor guard from the VFW will also be present, as they perform their ceremonial six gun salute.
The ceremonies carry over to St. Mary’s and Oakwood cemeteries for the placing of wreaths on the memorials at both locations followed by a high school student playing taps.
Children are also encouraged to participate in the parade by decorating their bikes in a Memorial Day (or holiday) theme. Lineup is at Walter and Mary Burke Park at 9:30 a.m.
