Catalytic Converters Snatched From Cars in Chesterfield Township, New Baltimore

Chesterfield Township and New Baltimore residents found catalytic converters missing from their cars around the same times earlier this month.
- On Jan. 2, a woman reported to police someone stole the part from her car between 1 a.m. and 9 a.m. outside her apartment on Oakview Drive, according to a police report.
- A township man reported that he parked his car around 6:30 p.m. Jan. 2 in the Aspen Creek Apartments' parking lot. When he returned to the car around 7 a.m. the next day, he noticed the theft. There were no suspects in that incident, a police report stated.
- A New Baltimore woman reported to police that she noticed a loud and unusual noise Jan. 3 when starting her 1997 Pontiac that had been parked at the 50900 block of Jefferson. Police discovered the vehicle was missing the catalytic converter, a police report stated. There were no known suspects in any of the incidents.
