An 18-year-old New Baltimore man was arrested this month on suspicion of operating under the influence of drugs, marijuana possession, having dangerous drugs and violating a restricted driver's license, according to a police report.
Police stopped the man's 2003 Pontiac shortly after midnight July 2 when the driver failed to turn on his signal in the Baker area.
When approaching the car, the officer smelled burnt marijuana and gave the driver a sobriety test, which he failed, the report stated.
Chesterfield Township K-9 officer Bulzi searched the car, finding marijuana, pipes, a bong and pills.
The driver also admitted to abusing a prescription drug without having a doctor's script for the medication, police said.
He was lodged in Macomb County Jail in lieu of a $300 bond and 12-hour hold from the time of his blood draw. For questions on this blotter, contact email@example.com.
