Crusader Athletes Recruited to Dive, Play Basketball at College Level
L'Anse Creuse North basketball player Tyler Conklin and diver Taylor Zablocki will head to Northwood University and the University of Alabama, respectively, next fall.
Athletes Tyler Conklin and Taylor Zablocki are the latest members of Crusader Nation to be recruited to take their respective talents to the college level.
L'Anse Creuse North senior Conklin has committed to play basketball for Northwood University, in Midland, MI, next fall.
The 6'4"-point guard/shooting guard was the leading scorer for the Crusaders last season and was instrumental in helping his team to the Class A boys basketball semifinals in March 2012.
Northwood plays in the GLIAC Division II. The team is lead by Head Coach Jeff Rekeweg, who said he selected Conklin as his top recruit for his versatility and work ethic.
Another L'Anse Creuse North senior planning to continue her athletic career at the college level is diver Taylor Zablocki.
Zablocki has accepted a scholarship to dive next fall for the Crimson Tide at the University of Alabama.
She recently placed third in the 1-meter diving state finals for Division 1, earning All-State Honors.
