Classmates honored the Anchor Bay Middle School North sixth-grader this week by decorating his locker in his memory, according to New Baltimore police who had a presence at the school to support grief counselors and answer questions from students.
Crisis teams were also at Maconce Elementary following news of the tragedy. Kyle's two older siblings, ages 12 and 13, attend the middle school and two younger siblings, ages 8 and 10, attend the elementary school. They were also in the minivan driven by their mother when the accident took place and suffered non life-threatening injuries, Chesterfield Township police said.
Anchor Bay School District officials said the entire district is mourning the loss and their thoughts and prayers are with Kyle's family.
