Gas Prices Drop in Chesterfield, New Baltimore Area

Prices at the pump were down Monday compared to last week, according to DetroitGasPrices.com.

 

Metro Detroit motorists are feeling less pain at the pump early this week.

The average price hovered Monday around $3.46 in the Detroit region, with the lowest amounts around $3.48 in the Chesterfield Township and New Baltimore area. The drop was apparent Sunday with average prices in the region at $3.45. Southeast Michigan gas prices remained cheaper Monday than the national average, which was about $3.67, according to DetroitGasBuddy.com.

The current price in the Detroit area is down from last week when average prices were approximately $3.68 in the region. Last month, the prices were about $3.94. One year ago, gas prices were even lower than they are today, at $3.36, according to the site. 

Some of the cheapest prices Monday in the Chesterfield area were:

  • $3.48 at Meijer at 36865 26 Mile near Frost.
  • $3.48 at Speedy Q at 37750 26 Mile near County Line.
  • $3.49 at Marathon at 50900 Donner Road near 23 Mile.
  • $3.49 at Marathon at 50901 Gratiot near 23 Mile.
