Halloween Store Haunts Old Kmart

Spirit Halloween is preparing to open this month in the former Kmart store on Gratiot and 23 Mile in Chesterfield.

The defunct Kmart store is rustling with the spirit of occupancy.

Spirit Halloween, that is.

The seasonal chain retailer plans to open doors this month in the plaza on 23 Mile and Gratiot in Chesterfield Township.

It will follow suit of Halloween City, which already opened in vacant space in the Target plaza nearby.

Hi Julie: It did not say when the Chesterfield store will open, just that it's coming this month. Please share with us if you find out first.

The opening date has been changed to SUN. The company received the keys last Thurs. So the manager and the few of us are trying to put everything up as fast as we can.
