Chesterfield Paving Way for New Home Repair Store

Menards, which has 250 stores across the Midwest, plans to open in summer on Hall Road, according to multiple community officials.

Local residents who love sprucing up their homes may have another shopping option by fall in Chesterfield Township.

Township Supervisor Michael Lovelock said plans are set for Menards, a Midwest home improvement retailer, to develop a store this summer on vacant land between and I-94 on the north side of Hall Road.

The company has submitted site plans to the township, which have been approved, and now they are in the engineering phase, township Planning Director Janice Giese said this week.

Since there's already a retention pond nearby the proposed store, the infrastructure should accommodate the development, Chesterfield Building Director Shawn Shortt said.

Despite site plan approval, Menards representatives are decidedly mum on the project, only saying "we have nothing to report at this time."
