It's Grub Crawl Time: Enter to Win Free Tickets

Patch is giving away two free tickets to the Spring Grub Crawl.

It’s that time of year; when spring is in the air and the smell of gourmet food wafting from restaurants along the Hall Road corridor lures you in.

Don’t fret, you don’t have to choose just one of the many delicious restaurants. Join the Sterling Heights Chamber of Commerce’s bi-annual Grub Crawl April 25 and sample the menu at 10 restaurants.

Participating restaurants are:

Tickets are being sold for $25 per person; $40 for two people or $150 for 10 people—alcohol is not included, but each restaurant will be offering drink specials.

But for one lucky Patch reader and a friend, tickets to the eating extravaganza are free.

To enter the contest, you just have to answer one simple question in the comment section below: What’s your favorite restaurant in Macomb County and why?

And what contest wouldn’t be complete without rules? Ours are:

  • Open to legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia who are 18 and older.
  • To enter, write in the comment section below what your favorite Macomb County restaurant is and why.
  • All entries must be received by 4 p.m. Eastern Time April 23. The winner will be announced on April 24.
  • You may enter only once.
  • Two winners who entered will be selected at random.
  • Two grand prize winners will receive two tickets to the Fall Grub Crawl. Each ticket is valued at $25.
  • Click Here for complete Official Rules.

How it Works

A shuttle bus will stop at the ten restaurants every 20 to 30 minutes—so you can dine and dash without having to drive. As the night winds down, you can take the bus back to the restaurant you left your car. Or you can tour the participating restaurants in your own car—at your own pace.

For more information, call 586-731-5400 ext. 11 or email Agougeon@shrcci.com or visit www.shrcci.com.

If I had to pick just one I would say my favorite is Iciban Japanese Bistro. I ate there last night and fell in love with the Ichiban Sushi roll. What's your favorite place in Macomb County?

My family has fallen for the Twisted Rooster! Tried it once, and can't get enough. There is always something new and exciting to try there that I would never imagine putting together at home. The food combinations are bizarre but delicious. Whenever we are getting friends together, this is the first restaurant out of my mouth. Not to mention the Wednesday night burger for $3 was a nice surprise.

Sterling Bistro is the best. Found this resturant when there was a groupon for it. Glad we did. Best place for 'date night' Hubby and I love the Asian Ahi Tuna Flatbread. And who can turn doen free Prime Rib for their birthday.

Of the participating restaurants, I really enjoy Sterling Bistro. The steaks are delicious and service is great. If I could pick any restaurant in Macomb County, it would have to be J. Baldwin's, hands down. Nothing can top their calamari or seared scallops.

Out of those participating, I would have to go with Cheeseburger in Paradise. The burgers are good and it's the only place in the area I know of that serves fried pickles. Outside those listed, I'm a big fan of Famous Dave's, which has the best ribs out of any place I have visited, being both good tasting and consistent in their preperation.

My family's favorite restaurant is Juan Miguel's in Clinton Township off of Hall Rd. They used to be in this location and closed quite a few years back. We frequented them all the time back them. We were so excited when they reopened a couple months ago. We go practically every weekend. The food is homemade and amazing. The staff is friendly and always accomodating!! They definitely have the Mexican in town according to us!! Many of our friends have agreed as well!!!

Juan Miguel's is my favorite restaurant in Macomb County. The owner, Kevin, is always there to welcome patrons and make sure they are being taken care of. He makes a point to remember frequent diners names and make everyone feel welcome. The food is the best mexican in town. I am so glad they decided to reopen a few months ago.
