Serial Pantyhose Flasher Struck Twice in Chesterfield

Chesterfield Township police say the suspect, who is sought in several other obscene incidents, exposed himself at two local stores.

A serial flasher known for wearing pantyhose has struck twice at Chesterfield Township stores, said Wednesday.

The man, who and in several other metro Detroit communities, is accused of revealing himself to women at different township stores.

The suspect in his 50s arrived at around 7 p.m. Dec. 19 on Gratiot near 23 Mile. He was clad in tights, a jacket and glasses. He soon turned to a woman in the store and opened his jacket.

"She was able to see through the tights and see his private parts," township police Detective Sgt. Deron Myers said. "She just kind of was momentarily in shock."

The suspect then walked behind the Target store, but it was unclear if he got into a white SUV, Myers said.

Police didn't hear about him again until he allegedly exposed himself March 7 at on Waterside near 23 Mile Road.

At the time, a manager reported the suspect walked into the store wearing a baseball cap, glasses, a denim shirt and sheer black pantyhose. He asked her about an unknown product to get her closer, drawing attention to his genitals, police said.

"She said it was obvious he just wanted to see her expression," Myers said.

His vehicle wasn't identified then. The suspect is still at large.

The man could face charges of indecent exposure for his actions throughout the region. In , police reported he entered a salon and asked for a Brazilian wax. He also was allegedly spotted at businesses in , Utica, Auburn Hills, and Canton Township.
