Daisy Mae the Beagle Lacks Leg, Not Spirit
Looking for a pet? This beagle, Daisy Mae, lost a leg but has had a spunky recovery. Now, all she needs is a family.
Daisy Mae, a young, medium-sized beagle-mix, has had a rough start in life. When she was 2 months old, she was dropped by her owner, breaking her left hind leg. She didn't receive any care and was in great pain for four months.
A concerned neighbor often noticed Daisy Mae outside tied to a tree and persuaded the owner to surrender her to a local rescue.
She may have lost her leg, but this spunky little girl didn't lose her spirit. She loves life and, although she now has only three legs, she is jumping and playing with the other dog she is fostered with.
Receiving medical treatment, altered and housebroken, she feels great and has the love of a foster family. What she is missing is a family of her own.
She likes cats — although they're not too keen on her — and she enjoys running around. A home with a fenced-in yard and no cats is ideal.
