NOOOOOOOOOOO. We do not need another Wal-Mart period, When there is one a few miles down the road. There is enough traffic already on 23 mile rd.

I agree with Tom. The 23 mile/I-94 area is horribly congested as it is. I was suprised when they put up the Walmart superstore on Hall Road near Partridge Creek. Seriously, how many Walmarts do we need that close to each other?

23 mile road is bad enough with traffic and a 50 mph speed limit. Too many people have been injured or killed in traffic accidents in the area from Gratiot east toward New Baltimore. I know it would bring in money for our Township but is it worth the publics safety. We have a store close enough already at Hall and Gratiot.Not to mention all the stores at 23 and Gratiot. Oh never mind all the empty buildings at that same area. Thank you a concerned citizen

No! We don't need it. We have one 10 minutes or less from the proposed location. There is plenty of shopping in the area Target, Meijer's, Kmart, Kroger etc. 23 Mile can't support the addional traffic.

I am fine without another Walmart...but a Costco would be nice! Trader Joe's? Nino Salvaggio's? I'm game!

I'd sign up for a brick fired New York style thin pizza joint...all the pizza around here are the same thick crust variety...

I miss the times when no-one had ever heard of Walmart and you could actually see mom & pop stores in busy downtown areas... the last thing the area needs is another Walmart! There is already a Meijer down the road and 2 other Walmarts within 10 miles! Three is ridiculous! Walmart needs to be more restricted because it is starting to turn into a monopoly.. soon enough the way things are heading everyone will be forced to buy from Walmart because there will be nothing else left!

Hey SC - Rosie O'Grady's on 23 Mile Road has thin crust, coal-oven baked pizza. They have carry out, too.

Even if a Walmart goes in, I will stick with Meijer's for my groceries. MUCH bigger selection, and a great line of Meijer-brand natural and organic products. Not to mention a meat counter, with a butcher. Walmart has the worst meat selection. The only time I really venture into a Walmart is if they have some great sale on toys or electronics around Christmas.

Target is often cheaper than Walmart for many of the things I buy, and the best part is I can get a coffee while I shop and even get the kids a halfway decent snack at their food court.

I'd love to see a smaller format Wal-Mart take the place of the Kmart that closed on Gratiot.
