Shooting in the historic downtown began around 1 p.m. outside Little Camille's By the Bay, where diners were videotaped on the patio. Then, Mayor Larry Smith boasted the city's features in front of Grand Pacific House Museum. The crew was then slated to head to Burke Park, where residents along with county and city leaders were to highlight lake recreation.

Little Camille's By the Bay owner Mark Miller was among those planning to paddleboard and County Chairwoman Kathy Vosburg of Chesterfield brought her kayak to go in Lake St. Clair. Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel was scheduled to join them at the lake shoot.

"We're highlighting New Baltimore as a destination on the lake with a walkable downtown," said Gerard Santoro with the Department of Macomb County Planning and Economic Development. Santoro worked with the program in organizing the city shoot. "We call New Baltimore the jewel on the lake."
