Macomb County Promotional Video Highlights Area
Lake St. Clair, manufacturing, schools and downtown New Baltimore are promoted in the county video that has been playing at a Chesterfield movie theater.
Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel encourages the public to "Make Macomb County your home" in video promotions, highlighting the area's assets.
The footage boasting the county's shoreline, manufacturing roots and recreation has been playing at local movie theaters, including Chesterfield Crossing Cinemas in Chesterfield Township and MJR Patridge Creek in Clinton Township as well as on television stations.
Hackel sells the county as a place children and businesses can grow while pointing out "it's birthplace of advance technologies."
New Baltimore is mentioned in the beginning of the video. And, those with a close eye on the clip, will recognize Red's Barber Shop on Washington Street and snapshots of the city's historic downtown, with a view of Celtic Sisters Candies and Candles sidewalk sign and Grand Pacific House Museum.
Another, grittier video, focuses on the county's blue-collared roots while emphasizing blue-ribbon schools, recreation and the county's evolution.
What do you think of the videos promoting the county?

Hmmm, it's nice about Macomb County but there seems an abundance of Mark Hackel. It makes it seem more like a campaign piece than a county promotional piece. The narration is ok, but if his image was taken out a lot more pictures of the county could be put in.
