The owner of the Corner Clock Restaurant on 23 Mile and Hayes Road holds back tears as he recounts the horrifying moments after a crash Tuesday that killed a 3-year-old girl and a woman suspected of drunken driving.
A woman and a 3-year-old girl died following an automobile accident Monday night.
Moments after patrons at the Corner Clock Restaurant on 23 Mile and Hayes roads in Shelby Township witnessed an Oldsmobile driven by a Sterling Heights woman crash into a minivan at the intersection around 8:45 p.m., Dan Goad, the owner of the restaurant, sprang into action.
Goad, a Shelby Township resident, couldn't hold back tears as he recounted the horrifying scene.
"The van was full of a family. ... The mom was trapped in the front and the kids in the backseat were hurt bad," he said.
