You've passed them frequently. You remembered when they were hustling retail centers. Perhaps, you shopped at them and wished something else would take their places.
In our Visions for Vacancies feature, readers become pseudo city planners by offering an opportunity to share dreams for empty storefronts.
In our latest installment, we ask you what you'd like to see in the recently closed Anchor Bay Pharmacy space. The longtime business was a landmark in downtown New Baltimore and is currently vacant.
Tell us in the comments' section what you'd like to go there.
Check out our other Visions for Vacancies here.

How about a Made in the U.S.A. store?

The cost of a Made in U.S.A. store would involve selling made in the U.S.A. products and our free market system coupled with greed would cause the price of hard goods to be much higher than what the average folk can afford. That is why tons upon tons of chinese product arrive at various ports constantly day and night all year around in Cali, Texas, New York and otherwise. Nice thought but not many Dr., Lawyer and Auto Worker old contract and/or pensioneers compared to the general public.

Would you not want to get at least one sip of soda or at least taste the flavor of a candy. How would you in todays market measure a penny candy or soda? That would be getting almost into the modern Nano size world of other things.

I think a skate board shop that sold everything from boards to clothing including skate shoes and also other things like R/C cars would do wonderful it would also bring shoppers down town. We also NEED a good inexpensive dinner some place you can take your family for breakfast and or dinner with all the churches on Maria I can only imagin the breakfast crowd. And as for Celtic sisters that store is great if you have not gone it is a must see something new all the time and the sisters are awesome. And while your down town check out the museum it's way cool also.

Toy store instead of going to Walmart and buying cheap made toys it would be nice to have a store that sell good old fashion toys that are sturdy and worth the money.

Local grown only Medical Marihuana dispensary that offers realistic prices to those that are unable to grow their own for whatever reason. They could then go to the wine shop, smoke a little and enjoy a sitdown at the waterfront. Life is way to good to not be able to relax. Just please do not drink to much wine at one time so you can act normal, be safe and friendly not a fool in front of the families and children that so deserve this space to share. Going further ban booze and cause black market price and legalize Marijuana to cause price to go where it should be. Never saw a fool after they smoke unless they are a fool before they do. Also more munchie stores and beach suppliers would be great with a big name waterfront restaurant where Five Oh was located. Thank-You!
