Visions for Vacancies: What Do You Want to Replace Hollywood Video?
Patch asks readers to share their hopes for vacancies in Chesterfield and New Baltimore.
You've passed them frequently. You remembered when they were bustling retail centers. Perhaps, you shopped at them and wished something else would take their places.
In our weekly Visions for Vacancies feature, readers become pseudo city planners by offering an opportunity to share dreams for empty storefronts.
Our highlighted vacancy is the former Hollywood Video in the Target plaza next on 23 Mile and Gratiot in Chesterfield. That plaza also hosts the defunct Farmer Jack store.
So, Patch is asking our readers--many of whom live, work and shop in this community: What would you like to see there?

As for a Randazzo or Nino Savagios it would seem it needs to be more square footage possibly. Maybe a after school game room of some type for kids who parents are not home when they get there. I would like to see a whole foods,or an international food market, aldis, trader joes go in the Farmer Jacks old place. As for whole foods most of them are put in affluent neighborhoods (wealth).

I would love to see a whole foods or Trader Joe's in the area! The Chesterfield/New Baltimore area is growing at a decent pace with new homes (upper-middle-class incomes), and it would be great to see such stores & not have to drive so far to get to them!
