• A house in the Pleasant Meadows subdivision off 24 Mile near Gratiot was raided by the County of Macomb Enforcement Team, also known as COMET, township police said last week. The raid led to the confiscation of about 100 marijuana plants and the arrest of an unidentified man. Township police say the house was used as an elaborate pot-growing operation. 
• After shutting doors about six months ago in light of a lengthy court battle with the state and Chesterfield, Big Daddy's Hydroponics is eyeing New Baltimore for a new location next to the police station.
• New Baltimore city officials say they are not able to authorize a medical marijuana dispensary, such as Big Daddy's, at this time because a cultivating ordinance hasn't been finalized. City Council is to decide whether to extend an existing medical marijuana moratorium at the next meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in City Hall.
• A 24-year-old Chesterfield motorcyclist succumbed to crash injuries last weekend in a Mount Clemens hospital, police said Monday.
• A 17-year-old St. Clair County boy died in a hunting accident in Brockway Township, according to the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office.
• New Baltimore Historical Society's annual History Fair and Civil War Days continues Sunday at the Grand Pacific House Museum and the city's downtown.
