Weekend Construction to Close Multiple Lanes on I-94 North of 23 Mile
Most of this weekend's road work takes place on I-94, stretching from southern Clinton Township to northern Chesterfield.
More orange barrels will clutter our major thoroughfares this weekend and into next week.
Here's a look at the sections you may want to avoid.
Eastbound and westbound I-94 will have single and double lane closures between Shook Road and M-59 from 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday for maintenance work.
Eastbound and westbound I-94 will also have a single lane closed between 23 Mile and County Line roads from 9 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday for ongoing road work.
M-29 (23 Mile Road)
Northbound and southbound M-29 between Baker and County Line roads will have a single lane closure from 8 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday for utility work.
Beginning Monday, Sept. 10:
Eastbound and westbound I-94 will have double lane closures nightly between North River Road and 23 Mile Road beginning at 7 p.m. and ending by 5 a.m. the following morning starting Monday night and ending Friday morning for maintenance work.
Eastbound and westbound I-94 will also be reduced to a single lane nightly between 23 Mile and County Line roads beginning at 9 p.m. and ending by 5 a.m. the following morning starting Monday night and ending Friday morning for resurfacing.
