Local government offices, schools and libraries are closing up for the New Year’s holiday. Here’s a look at closures for various places in New Baltimore and Chesterfield Township.

New Baltimore

• New Baltimore City Hall: Closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

• MacDonald Public Library: Closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

Chesterfield Township

• Chesterfield Township Municipal Offices: Closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

• Chesterfield Senior Center: Closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

• Chesterfield Township Library: Closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.

Schools

• Anchor Bay School District: No school, Christmas break Dec. 24-Jan. 4. School resumes Jan. 7.

• L’Anse Creuse Public Schools: No school, winter recess Dec. 24-Jan. 4. School resumes Jan. 7.

Other Closures

• Rizzo Services: Garbage will not be collected on New Year’s Day. Services will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week.

• Waste Management: Garbage will not be collected on New Year’s Day. Services will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week.

• United States Postal Service: Post offices are closed Jan. 1. All post offices open and regular mail delivery resumes Jan. 2.

• Secretary of State: All SOS offices are closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
