DESCRIPTION:The Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) is hosting its first-ever
  Grandparents Day on May 14. Grandchildren get in free with an adult gen
 eral admission or DIA membership. All activities are free.\nEnjoy puppet
  performances of Little Red Riding Hood by Paul Mesner Puppets at 11 a.m
 . and 2 p.m. Kids and their grandparents will also have a chance to make
  their own spinning toy in a drop-in workshop\, and have a complimentary
  photo taken as a souvenir.&nbsp\;Grandparents will also be able to take
  advantage of free valet parking available at the circular drive off Joh
 n R Street and pick up a coupon at the museum to receive a 20 percent di
 scount in the Museum Shop.&nbsp\;Other activities of interest to kids an
 d their grandparents include playing the popular &ldquo\;Eye Spy&rdquo\;
  game throughout the galleries\; taking a self-guided tour including &ld
 quo\;10 Things to Do with Kids\,&rdquo\; &ldquo\;Knights in Shining Armo
 r&rdquo\; and "Game Day." The special exhibitions It&rsquo\;s a Zoo in H
 ere! Prints and Drawings of Animals and the 74th Annual Detroit Public S
 chools Student Exhibition will be on view\, as well.\nAdmission is $8 fo
