Each year, Ross Medical Education Center in New Baltimore supports the American Cancer Society by walking as a team during Relay for Life. This year’s Relay for Life event will be held May 12-13 at Anchor Bay Middle School.
Ross is asking local residents to support its team by bringing their clean, returnable bottles/cans (metal, glass, paper or plastic) to the campus. Proceeds from all returnables will be donated to Relay for Life.
Donations can be dropped off during business hours, Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. from now through Friday, May 11.
“Cancer has touched so many lives, yet tough economic times have made it difficult for people to make charitable donations,” said Dan McIlhargey, Campus Director, New Baltimore. “By donating returnables, people can still be involved in supporting the American Cancer Society and raising money for research.”
Ross in New Baltimore supports many local not-for-profit organizations. In March, the school participated in the “Together We Can” food drive to benefit LOGIA/Salt River Christian Church. The campus has also worked with Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan, the American Red Cross, and Turning Point of Macomb County.
