Join the Warren Astronomical Society, the Ford Amateur Astronomy Club, and the Seven Ponds Astronomy Club for a celebration of Astronomy! This indoor/outdoor event runs from 4 PM to 11 PM at the park Activity Center.
Representatives from each club will speak on the basics of astronomy, telescope selection, and upcoming celestial and spaceflight events.
A portable planetarium will be on hand for sky tours.
Members will have their telescopes out for public viewing after sunset.
NOTE: Wear warm clothes, as it gets chilly down by the beach; hot cocoa and other snacks will be available for purchase at the Activity Center's concession stand.
Cost: Presentations are FREE. Parking is $5 per car, if you don't have a Metroparks pass.
