Greater Faith Assembly

Equity Alliance of Michigan is hosting a conversation for 1000 Black men on Saturday, April 20th to discuss the physical, mental, financial, and spiritual well-being of men in our region. Special guest speakers will include the world's most renowned motivational speaker, Les Brown, Michael Vick, (Former NFL quarterback, FOX NFL analyst), Hill Harper, (American actor, entrepreneur, and political candidate) and others. 
This event will take place at Greater Faith Assembly, located at 9760 Woodward Ave, Detroit, MI 48202. Doors will open at 11 AM and the event will begin at 12:00 PM.

Grosse Pointe Theatre presents Disney’s Newsies the Musical, May 3-12, at Parcells School Auditorium, in Grosse Pointe Woods. Inspired by the Newspaper Strike of 1899 in New York City, Newsies, packed with wonderful songs and electrifying dances, is the tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy who led a group of young newsies to take on powerful publishing giants to fight for fair conditions. Newsies
is an inspiring, joyful, and entertaining musical with a timeless message of justice and fairness for all.&nbsp;Click <a href="https://youtu.be/YYnBfdu6yyY" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">NEWSIES</a> for a brief preview.
Join Grosse Pointe Theatre and the talented 37-member cast of Newsies as they share this family-friendly story of hope and humanity and help carry that sentiment forward by participating in a collection of items to support kids through Detroit Goodfellows. Collection bins will be in the lobby at each performance to accept the NEW toys and other items for kids that will be part of the gifts distributed by Detroit Goodfellows during the 2024 Christmas season.

Help “Seize the Day” for kids served by Detroit Goodfellows by bringing NEW children’s winter hats, gloves, mittens, socks, crayons, coloring books, color pencils, washable markers, small stuffed animals, and lip balm to help brighten the 2024 holiday season. Collection bins will be in the lobby at Newsies performances.
