5 Things to Know This Week: Mother's Day Craft Show, City Council, Weight Loss Challenge

Here's the scoops on what's happening around New Baltimore and Chesterfield Township.

1. will host a and bake sale this Saturday at 10 a.m. Just in time for Mother's Day, there will be jewelry and other accessories, cookbooks, items for the home and much more.

2. The New Baltimore City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at , located at 36535 Green Street. 

3. An informational session on a special '' will be hosted at the Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. Participants enrolled in the challenge have the chance to lose weight and win money. Different health and nutrition topics are discussed at every meeting. Call ahead to reserve your spot at 586-273-7841.

4. The in New Baltimore is asking patrons to drop off their recyclable bottles and cans, with all going toward the American Cancer Society. Ross will be walking as a team during the Relay for Life this May at Anchor Bay Middle School. Donations can be dropped off during business hours, Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. from now through Friday, May 11.

5. It's that time of year again for the Sterling Heights' Regional Chamber of Commerce Grub Crawl, and Patch is giving away tickets.
