A Queen Is Crowned in New Baltimore
Even with the rain, this year's Miss Bay-Rama show went on.
junior Morgan Sommers was crowned Miss Bay-Rama Wednesday night on the opening day of the Bay-Rama Fishfly Festival in downtown New Baltimore. It turns out, Sommers has a family history with the pageant. Her mother once reigned as the festival queen, she said.
This year's beauty pageant drew—the highest amount in the past 10 years, according to organizers. It was broken into three segments for nautical and evening wear and a question-and-answer format. Judges looked for personality, poise and confidence.
