Drinks: All of the usual beers are on tap with a couple specialties as well. A full bar is available. Nightly drink specials are very much beer-centric with $2 specials every night of the week.

Appetizers: Upscale take on bar bites. Shrimp rockefeller ($8.99) is a decadent combination of shrimp, bacon and garlic baked in a bread bowl and covered in a homemade cream sauce and Parmesan cheese. Fire House Cheesy Bread ($5.99) takes Fire House pizza dough covered in garlic and other seasonings topped with lots of mozzarella cheese.

Soup:  The homemade chili can be ordered straight up or in a crock topped with raw onions and a layer of crusty, melted cheese.  Add a few pickled jalapenos and you have a spicy, hearty crock of comfort.

Salads: For those on a health kick, try one of the salads. The Hawaiian chicken salad ($7.99) has grilled chicken, pineapple, almond and sesame seeds with a lemon-lime vinaigrette.  Most salads include chicken and are meal-sized.

Sandwiches: Plenty of choices for the meat-inside-the-bread crowd. From the usual burgers and clubs to the unusual rib sandwich and mouflatta, there's something for just about anyone (except vegetarians—all sandwiches have meat).

Pizza: Round or square pies are offered. Normal toppings are available for your choosing. The Fire House Special (small $9.99) has pepperoni, tomato, bacon and Parmesan cheese.

Signature Dish: Famous Fire House Ribs.  Full slab $15.99, which includes starch and soup or salad.

Address: 48925 Gratiot

Cost: $
