Detroit Lions Fans: Check Out Construction Projects on Game Day

Fans in the New Baltimore and Chesterfield Township area can find out what road projects to encounter en route to the game.

Detroit Lions fans, who have been eagerly awaiting football season, don't need any more delays. 

That's why the Michigan Department of Transportation created a web page for local residents to check out potential road delays before heading to Ford Field in Detroit. 


According to MDOT, the following projects will be underway as fans head to the game against the Minnesota Vikings starting at 1 p.m. Sunday.

- I-69, Genesee County, will have one lane closed in each direction over Irish Road from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., and two lanes closed in each direction from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

- I-69, Genesee County, will have one westbound lane closed from Morrish Road to M-13 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., along with ramp closures.
 
- I-69, Lapeer County, will have one eastbound lane closed from M-24 to the St. Clair County line.

- I-75, Genesee County, will have daytime single-lane closures with traffic shifts at Maple Road, and nighttime double-lane closures with traffic shifts.

- I-75, Monroe County, will have two northbound lanes closed between LaPlaisance Road and I-275.

- I-75, Monroe County, will have one southbound lane closed at Exit 9 (S. Otter Creek Road).

- I-75, Oakland County, has the southbound right lane closed from Crooks to Long Lake roads.

- I-75, Saginaw County, will have the northbound lanes open from Janes Road to the I-675 north junction. Southbound I-75 will be detoured to southbound I-675.
 
- I-94, Macomb County, will have one westbound lane and two eastbound lanes closed between Masonic Boulevard and I-696.

- I-94, Wayne County, will have one lane closed in each direction at US-24 (Telegraph Road).

- I-275, Wayne County, has one lane closed in each direction between Ecorse Road and Michigan Avenue.

- I-275, Oakland County, has the northbound right lane closed from 8 Mile to 9 Mile roads.

- I-696, Macomb County, has the westbound right lane closed from Mound Road to 11 Mile Road.

- M-10 (Lodge Freeway) in Detroit has two northbound lanes closed from McNichols Road to Schaefer Highway.

- M-99 (Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) in Lansing, Ingham County, has at least one lane open in each direction between the Grand River and Victor Avenue.

- US-10, Clare County, will have alternating single-lane closures under temporary signals at Clarabella Road.
 
- US-10, Isabella County, will have alternating single-lane closures under temporary signals at Leaton Road.

- US-10, Midland County, will have single-lane closures, traffic shifts and short-term ramp detours from the Isabella County Line east to M-18.
