New Baltimore Police Chief, Rep. LaFontaine Attend 9/11 Ceremony

The local officials attended the Michigan House of Representatives 9/11 anniversary ceremony in Lansing.

New Baltimore Police Chief Tim Wiley visited Lansing Wednesday as state Rep. Andrea LaFontaine's guest for the Michigan House of Representatives’  9/11 memorial, according to LaFontaine's office.

“I was honored to have Chief Wiley stand with me today as we honored the bravest among us - the men and women who set fear aside each day to keep us safe in our communities,” LaFontaine, R-Columbus Township, said in a prepared statement.

“It’s important to recognize those who have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms, as well as pay tribute to those who currently serve, whether it is thousands of miles away overseas or in our local fire and police departments here at home," she said.
