Why Go: L’Anse Creuse Public Schools presents Exhibition of the Arts at the John R. Armstrong Performing Arts Center campus. See student artwork, live performances by choirs, dancers and actors, plus vendors selling crafts.
Pricing: Cost is $5 per car. Refreshmets will be sold.

Why Go: Bring your favorite books, garden items, perennials, annuals, vegetable plants, bulbs, seeds, labeled and ready to trades at the library's 9th Annual Spring Plant Exchange. A master gardener will be on hand to answer questions. Registration is not required.

Why Go: The Friends of the MacDonald Public Library are holding a "Spring Into Summer" event. Stop by and browse plants, flowers, gifts, crafts and books, the perfect way to support your local library and community and find one-of-a-kind items.

Where/When: Brighton State Recreation Area, 6360 Chilson, Howell; 10 a.m.-dusk May 21, and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. May 22.
Why Go: The Brighton State Recreation Area hosts the 2011 All Nations Veterans Council's “Teaching our Traditions” Pow-Wow, with Native American dancing, music, crafts, dress ceremonies, Grand Entry parades each day, vendors selling Native American foods and more.
Pricing: Cost to attend the Pow-Wow is $5 for adults and children age 13 and older; $3 for seniors and children 12 or younger; and children under 5 are free. A Recreation Passport is required for vehicles entering the park.

Why Go: St. Mary Parish Center is organizing a Polish dinner, featuring Kielbasa and cabbage, pierogi, golapki, Polish meatballs, cucumber salad, rye bread, desserts, coffee and lemonade.
Pricing: $9 for adults 12 and up; and children 6-12 cost $5. Children 5 and under eat free. Proceeds benefit Anchor Bay Knights of Columbus charities.
