Power Expected to be Restored Sunday Night for Chesterfield Customers

Roughly 2,300 DTE Energy customers should see their lights back on between 9:30-11:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the utility company.

An area power outage affected about 2,300 DTE Energy customers this weekend in the Chesterfield Township area.

Lights are expected to go back on between 9:30-11:30 p.m. Sunday for most of the households that lost power, according to the utility company's outage map. Many of those customers have been without electricity since Saturday evening.

The DTE map cited the problem as an "area outage" Sunday afternoon. DTE did not immediately respond to calls seeking more information on the power outage.

The part of the community that experienced the outage spanned mainly from 23 Mile past 26 Mile between Gratiot and County Line.
