Top 5 Hidden Treasures in Chesterfield Township, New Baltimore

From historic landmarks to scenic waterfronts, residents and visitors can find family-friendly fun in the area.

Walter and Mary Burke Park

A beachfront public park positioned in New Baltimore's historic downtown, Burke Park is family friendly with playscapes, an extensive pier and more. A harbor with public boat docks is expected to be complete this winter, and a kayak rental business is slated to set up in upcoming months. 

Brandenburg Park

Along Anchor Bay in Chesterfield Township, this public park is popular among anglers and families that utilize the playscapes. This summer, a highly anticipated splash park is set to open with 16 fountains for children to frolic under.

Grand Pacific House Museum

Although the museum in New Baltimore is closed in January and February,  visitors can see an array of displays, including antique furniture and mementos from the city's heyday as a resort town during the remainder of the year. The museum also hosts a slew of family friendly events, such as the annual candle walk.

Chesterfield Historical Village

The Chesterfield Historical Village on Municipal Grounds features a one-room school, a log cabin, a cobble/gift shop and a working blacksmith shop. The Chesterfield Township Historical Society hosts a variety of events at the village throughout the year. 

Stahl's Automotive Foundation

For the classic car lover, Stahl's Automotive Foundation in Chesterfield Township brings about 70 vintage cars and a Route 66 theme to the community. The free museum is open to the public from 1-4 p.m. Tuesdays and by appointment.
