Viewfinder: Ste. Claire Voyageurs in Chesterfield

History comes to life this weekend as group re-enacts the lifestyle of Michigan's French settlers at Chesterfield Historical Village.

The Ste. Claire Voyageurs have set up camp for the weekend at the .

Families were out and about Saturday to see the French settler way of life during Michigan's early years. Children could play old-fashioned games, see how food was prepared, watch a blacksmith work and learn about the area's history during this public event, which will continue from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $1 per person or $2 per family.
