Viewfinder: Sunny Day on Anchor Bay

Portions of ice melted away Monday as temperatures hit the mid-30s.

Breakaway pieces of ice on Anchor Bay offered a slight hint of spring Monday. As sun and temps in the 30s visited the region, in Chesterfield provided scenery for a winter seemingly on the cusp of change.

Although the sunshine may be interpreted as warmer days to come, in typical Michigan fashion, snow is in the forecast. According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will have a high near 35 degrees followed by a 20% chance of snow showers overnight. Rain and snow is also expected later in the week.
