St. Clair County 4-H and Youth Fair

Come to Goodells County Park the 74th Annual County 4H & Youth Fair, held July 25-30. Attend and enjoy 4H exhibitions, animal judging contests, kids' activities, animal petting zoos, carnival rides and games, demonstrations, food, concerts, local pick-up and tractor pulls, old-time games, demolition derby entertainment and more.

Monday, July 25:

  • 11 a.m.-9 p.m.: Children's Barn Yard open
  • 5-10 p.m. Skerbeck Carnival Opens
  • 6-10 p.m.: Music by Golden Harvest in the Entertainment Tent
  • 7 p.m.: Rodeo, Rimrock Crater

Tuesday, July 26:

  • 11 a.m.-9 p.m.: Children's Barn Yard
  • Noon: Diaper derby (up to age 24 months)
  • 12:30 p.m.: Candy Scramble, for kids of all ages, at the Entertainment Tent
  • 1-4 p.m.: Balloon Fun with Tootsee the Clown, Entertainment Tent
  • 1-10 p.m.: Skerbeck Carnival

  • 1 p.m.: Frog jumping contest; Entertainment Tent (bring your own frogs), followed by the turtle race (bring your own turtle)
  • 1 p.m.: Yo-yo and hula hoop contest, after the critter races
  • 2 p.m.: Livestock auction and sale
  • 2-7 p.m.: Silent Livestock Auction, Show Arena

  • 3 p.m.: Pet Parade, Show Arena (All kids welcome to parade with their pet)
  • 3-5 p.m.: Music by the Reminencers, Entertainment Tent
  • 5 p.m.: Chicken Contests, Entertainment Tent
  • 6 p.m.: Chicken Flying Contest, Entertainment Tent
  • 7 p.m.: Moto-Cross, Rimrock Crater
  • 8 p.m.: Lost Cousins (bluegrass), Entertainment Tent

Ongoing events include the Masters of the Chainsaw carving demonstrations, 4 p.m.-dusk, Tuesday-Saturday, at the Visitors Center area; animal judging daily; the Skerbeck Carnival is open throughout the festival; library storytimes daily; and much more.
