Turn in Your Scarecrow Contest Submissions This Weekend

The New Baltimore DDA is reminding people to submit their scarcrow decorating contest entries this weekend.

There are two categories:

  • Any Scarecrow: Create a traditional or creative scarecrow.  Use materials that have been used on functional scarecrows in fields and gardens for centuries – or use non-traditional materials, i.e., aluminum, tin, steel, etc…
  • The Children’s Scarecrow: For children 12 and under. Make a scarecrow you would think would scare off all the blackbirds.

Return the entry form with $10 -- cash, check or money order -- made out to DDA-Scarecrow Contest to Re-HAB-u-lous Alley, 36341 Front St., New Baltimore, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, or 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8.
