In Photo: St. Jerome Leaves Study For New Baltimore

A replica of the 1435 masterpiece by Jan van Eyck is on display in the city's historic downtown.

The replica of "Saint Jerome in His Study" by Jan van Eyck is on display on the exterior wall of in New Baltimore.

Jerome was named a Christian saint for spending many years of his life translating the Bible into Latin. This masterpiece replica is part of the Detroit Institute of Arts' program to spark the public's interest in art.
