AT&T Improves Wireless Network for New Baltimore's Mobile Users

These improvements are expected to translate into better Internet coverage and voice performance on mobile devices.

Good news for local AT&T customers, the company announced Monday that it has completed "a key initiative" that promises to "enhance the wireless capacity and performance of its mobile Internet network" in New Baltimore and surrounding communities, according to PRNewswire.

Customers in New Baltimore as well as Macomb and Clinton townships can expect improved Internet coverage and voice performance on their mobile devices as a result of this initiative.

"Macomb County and all of Metro Detroit will be better connected thanks to this additional investment from AT&T," said Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel, in a PRNewswire release. "Expanded hi-speed Internet and voice coverage gives job makers the tools they need to kick-start our economy and residents the opportunity to connect with the rest of the world."

The network improvements have added new carriers to four cell sites in the community that will allow AT&T to more efficiently manage available spectrum and increase mobile broadband capacity.

This expansion has allowed more network resources to be allocated to AT&T's mobile Internet network.
