Chesterfield Township Resident Crowned Battle of Chefs Champ Again

As the large crowd cheers him on, Mark Miller takes first place Saturday at the Mount Clemens Farmers Market's Battle of the Chefs.

For Chesterfield Township resident Mark Miller, cooking is not only his passion, it's his livelihood.

Perhaps that's why Miller took first place once again in the second annual Battle of the Chefs competition Saturday morning at the Mount Clemens Farmers Market.

As owner and founder of Culinary Expressions Catering and Little Camille's Pizza, both located in Mount Clemens, Miller put his skills to work, creating three special dishes within one hour and 15 minutes.

The dishes, judged by Mount Clemens Mayor Barb Dempsey and two volunteer shoppers, received points for taste, texture, presentation and creative use of products taken from the farmers market.

Competing against his employees from Culinary Expressions Catering and a team from the Career Preparation Center in the Warren Consolidated Schools District, Miller was crowned the reigning champion and presented with a certificate.
