Personal trainer and fitness expert Blake Bowman has opened GuerrillaZen Fitness, which offers dynamic health and wellness services.

A new fitness center combining the best aspects of fitness programs from multiple ideologies will open Saturday, Nov. 2, at 48724 Gratiot Ave. in Chesterfield Township.

Owner Blake Bowman said GuerrillaZen Fitness will offer traditional fitness services such as personal training, group fitness classes, and nutritional counseling, as well as cutting-edge programs like posture correction using state-of-the-art analysis software, and corrective exercise protocols geared toward preventing injury and optimizing performance.

“GuerrillaZen approaches fitness differently than others,” Bowman said in a news release. “We combine the best aspects of fitness from multiple different backgrounds and ideologies, such as tai chi and weight training.”

Bowman said he and his staff believe their mixed approach to fitness is not only the safest and most sustainable way to train, but also the most fun and effective.

“As the name implies, GuerrillaZen offers dynamic training opportunities that represent two distinct sides of fitness,” he said. “There is a hard side that stresses the body to grow stronger, and there is a softer side to prime the body for recovery.”
