Suds and Hearts on Valentine's Day

Moon River Soap Company in New Baltimore, which is normally closed Mondays, will keep doors open on Valentine's Day.

The on Washington Street in downtown New Baltimore will be open Monday, Feb. 14, for Valentine Day shoppers looking for that perfect gift for someone special.

Store owner Liz Aprea of New Baltimore said lavender items are a hot seller this year for Valentine's Day and shoppers will be treated to a complimentary dhalia shopping bag. Another feature is $1 shea-butter soap hearts that melt in the water.

"They leave your skin feeling smooth without that greasy feeling other products may leave," said Aprea.

Shoppers Lynda Fordyce of New Haven and April Ternes of Lenox Township were browsing the selection Saturday, Feb. 12.

"I love this store," said Fordyce. "I want everything."

April Ternes said she loves the fact all all the products are unique and all natural.

Moon River Soap Company will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14.
