Zombies to Invade New Baltimore This October

Beware: The walking dead will trudge through downtown New Baltimore.

A zombie invasion is scheduled for 8 p.m. Oct. 27, starting in front of the city's recreation center and ending at Little Camille's By the Bay at 51083 Washington Street, according to the restaurant's owner Mark Miller. 

Miller said he decided to organized the first-time event after talking to local professional face painter Chantel Christ who will be decorating about 20 zombies for the Mount Clemens Zombie Walk that same night.

"I asked since they will already be painted up: Could they come to New Baltimore and share there art? She liked the idea and after a couple phone calls and six hours later, the event was created," Miller said, adding he's received positive feedback from the community and wants the event to grow.

"It's going to be a blast," he said.

No registration is required. The event is free and open to the public.
