"Our Parish would love to win the beautiful Holy Trinity statue," Worship Coordinator Sister Pat Whalen said.  "Since St. Mary's is the only Catholic church in New Baltimore, we aren't competing with other churches.  We hope to get as many votes as possible from not only our community, but from surrounding communities as well."

The state is a fiber-bronze reproduction of a magnificent bronze sculpture that was commissioned by Mt. Elliott and cast in Italy.  Only two castings exist and either can be seen at Guardian Angel Cemetery and Resurrection Cemetery.

"I've seen statues by this artist before and they are all beautiful," Whalen said. "We've been thinking that if we win, perhaps we would put it either in front of the new connector building or out at the cemetery for all to enjoy."

According to the Mt. Elliott website, St. Mary Queen of Creation is currently sitting in fifth place and needs your help to climb to the top.

The contest ends Aug. 15. Only one vote per email address is accepted and you must be at least 18 years old to cast a vote. Please note that you will receive an confirmation once your vote has been posted.  If you don't receive an acknowledgement, please try again.
