Sure it was great to see the Anchor Bay Boys' Varsity Baseball Team win twenty-six games this season. And, was it ever a rush to see them capture their first district championship in something like eight years. There were countless moments between the lines that had people buzzing all season. But, what the local sports page probably won't mention is...
- The team can proudly boast that they have twelve players earning a spot on the 2012 MAC All Academic team.
- Four of their five seniors are going on to play college baseball.
These two points along with the fine play on the field demonstrate the character of the program. Head Coach John Graybill, his coaches, and the Anchor Bay Athletic Department should be very proud of the fine young men Anchor Bay Baseball is helping to develop.
Clearly, Anchor Bay understands that "Student" comes first in STUDENT Athlete.
