Accused Best Buy Thieves Caught in Chesterfield

Three Detroit men allegedly stole thousands of electronics from area Best Buy stores before their arrests in Chesterfield.

After stealing expensive merchandise from area Best Buy stores, three men were caught planning to snatch electronics in Chesterfield Township, police said.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., township police responded to reports from the store at Waterside Marketplace that the suspects were "staging" pricey electronics by the front door to be stolen later, according to township Detective Sgt. Deron Myers.

Police learned the trio allegedly took a $2,500 Bose surround-sound system from the Port Huron store and electronics from the Roseville store. Equipped with information about the type of vehicle they were seen leaving the Port Huron location, township police pulled over the men and found the stolen merchandise, Myers said.
