Driver Charged in Roseville Crash That Killed Chesterfield Man

A 30-year-old man faces a 15-year felony for drunken driving, causing the death of his passenger who wasfrom the township, police said.

A 30-year-old man was arraigned on charges his drunken driving killed his passenger, who was from Chesterfield, early Tuesday morning in Roseville, police said Thursday.

Charles Tyburskie, also of Chesterfield, faces one count of operating while intoxicated, causing death. The felony carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison upon conviction. Tyburskie was arraigned in 39th District Court and held in lieu of a $100,000-cash/surety bond. A preliminary exam was set for 8:15 a.m. Feb. 16, according to Roseville police.

Douglas Alan Worden, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at approximately 3 a.m. Tuesday on Groesbeck between Martin and 11 Mile. Tyburskie apparently lost control of the pickup truck he drove, hit a snowbank and then an electric pole, police said.
