Chesterfield Police Alert Public to Possible Stranger Danger

Anyone with information about the suspicious incident in Chesterfield Township is asked to call police.

Chesterfield Township police said Thursday they are seeking information about a possible stranger-danger incident that took place the previous night in the 21 Mile and Interstate 94 area.

At approximately 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, a man appearing to be in his 60s or 70s, pulled his Ford Explorer up to boys, ages 9 and 11, on Kristel Court. The driver asked one of the children whether "he was a boy or a girl," according to .

When a concerned parent approached the SUV, the driver did not respond and drove off. The parent noted the man had a Wisconsin license plate. He was described as white, with gray hair and long, scruffy gray beard. He drove a black 2008-10 Explorer.

"We would like to identify this person and see what his intention is," Sgt. Deron Myers said Thursday.
