Chesterfield Police on Lookout for Suspicious Men

Two men in a maroon van approached a 12-year-old boy and asked him to get inside their van, according to police.

Chesterfield Township police said Thursday they are looking for two men who approached a 12-year-old boy in the 24 Mile and Sass area.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. Monday, the boy was riding his bike in front of when the men pulled up in a maroon work van. One of the men asked the boy if he wanted to "get in and help look for his dog," police said.

The boy ignored them, riding his bike to back of the school where friends had been waiting for him. The van left the school lot and headed west on 24 Mile, police said.

The van occupants are described as white males in their 20s. One wore a bright orange shirt. The van had the words "roofing" and "windows" on the side, police said.
