Law enforcement officials made the discovery after Austin was arrested on March 19, 2012, by the Roseville Police Department for his involvement in a drug deal in a school parking lot. Austin left the Fraser School District shortly afterward.

After the arrest, police found numerous images of suspected child pornography on Austin’s cell phone.

Police also discovered “inappropriate, non-pornographic images of suspected minors, text messages that were sexual in nature that appeared to involve minors, and two pornographic videos, one of which depicted a minor,” according to the release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The case was turned over to the FBI Southeast Michigan Crimes Against Children Taskforce. The FBI, with assistance from the Fraser School District and the Fraser Police Department, reviewed some of the images on Austin’s phone and discovered images of 12 minors and students from the Fraser School District.

Anyone with information related to Austin is asked to contact the FBI at 313-965-2323.
